Program Highlights

img_why
• Our unique one-of-a-kind program structure comprising 6 two-week segments over a 15-month period allows participants to attend from all over the globe and accommodates the demanding schedules of busy executives who might be located in any geographic region and cannot attend locally-based programs.

• Designed for senior working professionals with a record of achievement and demonstrated leadership ability who would like to gain an extensive, well-balanced general management education with a primary focus on Asia and North America that provides the breadth and depth of knowledge, and tools and skill sets necessary to lead organizations.

• The class profile is significantly more senior, with more extensive business experience than traditional full-time MBA programs. Learning from other senior peers is a core part of the value proposition of this global Executive MBA program.

• The class is uniquely diverse not only by nationality, culture, and industry and functional backgrounds, but importantly, participants are currently both working and living in very different parts of the globe. This is probably the only program where some 50% of participants fly in for segments from other continents (not only countries), making for an enormously rich classroom discussion and learning experience for all.

• Participants are awarded two globally recognized MBA degrees - one from UCLA and one from NUS - the same MBA degrees as each university’s other MBA programs (full-time, fully-employed and executive programs).

• Course modules are taught by the same world-class faculty from UCLA Anderson and NUS Business School who teach in the schools’ other MBA programs and who apply the same rigorous learning standards. However, the content has been adjusted to include more global issues and strategies to serve a participant population that has far more global management experience and leadership potential.

• Course modules are held in 4 different locations: 2x Singapore, 2x Los Angeles, 1x Shanghai, and 1x Bangalore. The four countries have been strategically selected to enable participants to gain first-hand knowledge and insight into these powerhouse economies. International residencies are an important ingredient in a global MBA program as they add to the value and richness of the classroom component by providing various lenses (cultural, social, economic and experiential) through which to view various economies and systems.

• Instead of simply studying one single economy, the UCLA – NUS Executive MBA program provides an experiential component that adds value to the learning context and which cannot be duplicated in locally-based programs. This is accomplished using a variety of means, including visiting regional companies, hosting local speakers, discussions with company representatives to supplement case discussions, and simply by experiencing the region outside of classroom time.

• Membership to the very extensive and powerful UCLA and NUS global alumni networks provide participants an unsurpassed opportunity to connect with senior executives across North America and Asia as well as Europe, the Middle East and South America who span many diverse cultures, nationalities, and industry and functional backgrounds.

• Both schools are AACSB accredited.

Small class size facilitates interaction and peer-to-peer learning.

Career services and resources are available to all program participants and alumni, including access to a dedicated career coach.
